Hi Math Leaders ~

We are trying something a little different this year with an online PLC. I am looking forward to interacting with you as we march through the book Taking Action:Implementing Effective Mathematics Teaching Practices by DeAnn Huinker and Victoria Bill together.

By the end of this course, you will:

• Have a deeper understanding of the 8 effective math teaching practices
• Try some new strategies within your math lessons
• Discover how some of your colleagues across the district are supporting their students in learning mathematics
• EARN 15 clock hours! 

This class consists of ten three-week cycles where you will REFLECT, RESPOND, and INTERACT. There is a tab at the top of the blog for each chapter. I will send you reminder emails throughout the course with links to the appropriate pages, but you are welcome to visit these pages ahead of time and work ahead if you'd like.
